Half Marathon Training has begun!

Here we go! Calendar is set and our milestones are in place! For the rest of March the running schedule is as follows - Tuesdays are 2 miles, Thursdays are 2.5 miles, Saturdays are 3 miles and Sundays are 25-30 minutes of easy jogging.

Last night we started from Jen's office and a beautiful spring evening was a head of us (sorry no pics we were just too excited to get going!) We kept a fairly even pace as this was more of a chat session/easy paced run - we'll work more on speed on Thursdays. A new path with a bridge and gazebo has been built around the duck pond at the corner of Centreville Road and Sunrise Valley. We followed another runner who had just reached the little park, apparently he wasn't fazed by the massive amounts of duck and deer droppings we ran across! I think we'll stick with the main sidewalk next time.  :)
